INSTGRA 50MG TABLET contains Dolutegravir which belongs to the group of medicines called Integrase inhibitors. INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is used to treat HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults, and children (aged 6 years/above) who should weigh at-least 14 kg/above.INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Dolutegravir.Before taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are suffering from advanced HIV infection and/or have weak immune system (prone to serious infections), kidney problems (such as mild to severe renal impairment), and liver problems (such as mild to moderate hepatic impairment).INSTGRA 50MG TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy only if it is clearly necessary since the medicine may increase the risk of birth defect (such as neural tube defect/malformed spinal cord) in unborn baby. It is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as the medicine may pass through breastmilk.INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children (aged below 6 years) and in children who weigh less than 14 kg and who are resistant to other medicines similar to INSTGRA 50MG TABLET. It is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.The most common side effects of taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET are headache, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, itching, and/or rash.
